It’s New Years Eve and I’ve been skimming through my Bloglines subscriptions and I found this post from America’s blogger, Robert Scoble, who recently covered presidential candidate John Edwards.
Scoble writes his impressions of being on the campaign trail and using Southwest Airlines and how the airline reacted to some criticism and then compares it to how Edwards allowed some pretty stiff criticism of himself and his campaign on his own blog. This is work checking out:
More of the same. Although I like John Edwards, he is not advocating anything I can really sink my teeth into and get excited about.
Dick Devos, the defeated Republican candidate for governor in Michigan had plenty of web 2.0 on his website. His blog was interactive and it was always filled with content. But it was content that was incredibly self-serving. There was nary a critical comment to be found. There was very little apparent transparency.
It looks like Edwards and/or his handlers might get it. We’ll wait and see.
